Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - SV Wehen Wiesbaden did not let themselves be deterred by a deficit against VfL Oldenburg and took over the promotion relegation place in the 3rd football league. At the end of the twelfth matchday, coach Markus Kauczinski's team won 3-1 (1-1) on Monday evening against the newly promoted team, who are still in tenth place. Wiesbaden remains undefeated in the sixth home game of the season.

Kebba Badjie gave Oldenburg the lead in front of 3462 spectators (38th). But just two minutes later, Ivan Prtajin equalized for the hosts. After the break, Wehen was better in the game, although some key players were absent through injury. The conspicuous Benedict Hollerbach rewarded Wiesbaden for a strong phase (56th) and after a lost aerial duel of the horny VfB keeper Pelle Boevink, substitute John Iredale decided the game.
