Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - An eleven-year-old girl and her six-year-old brother saved themselves from a burning children's room in Frankfurt - and then called the fire brigade. The child reported to the firefighters that it was already on the street. The siblings were unharmed in the fire on Thursday in Frankfurt, according to the police on Friday.
"The girl acted very carefully," praised a police spokesman for the student's efforts. The fire in the house was quickly extinguished. There was damage of around 25,000 euros. According to police investigations, the fire may have been caused by a defective lamp. The parents of the two children were not at home during the fire, according to the police.
