Hesse: Ground-breaking ceremony for the replacement of the Thalaubach viaduct

Eichenzell (dpa/lhe) - The replacement construction of the Thalaubach viaduct on the Autobahn 7 begins with a groundbreaking ceremony this Friday (11.30 a.m.). It is being built near Eichenzell in the Fulda district. Stephan Krenz, CEO of Autobahn GmbH des Bundes, and the director of the Northwest branch, Cord Lüesse, are expected to attend the meeting. The valley bridge was built in 1968 and, according to the Autobahn GmbH, is no longer able to cope with today's traffic loads. It had already been strengthened in 2018.
