Offenbach (dpa / lhe) - In the coming days, the roads in parts of Hesse can become dangerously slippery. Although there is still hardly any snow, according to the German Weather Service, with lows of up to minus five degrees, freezing wet or frost must be expected, especially in the mountains.
Even at the beginning of the new week, little will change. "The sea of clouds in the sky currently seems limitless and the weather situation is still stuck," said a DWD meteorologist in Offenbach on Saturday.
Accordingly, there is a powerful high pressure area over northeastern Europe, which has been sending cold air from the east to Germany for days. "There is simply a lack of movement in the atmosphere. And so the cloudy air cannot be cleared either," said the meteorologist.
