Hesse: Hassia mineral springs remain able to deliver despite the drought

Bad Vilbel (dpa/lhe) - The beverage manufacturer Hassia remains able to deliver despite the persistent drought. The company treats its own 30 springs in the Rhine-Main area with care and regularly removes less mineral water than officially approved, said a spokeswoman for the company in Bad Vilbel near Frankfurt on Tuesday. There are therefore no delivery bottlenecks, even if not all containers of each brand are always available at the same time.

"It's been a long and great summer for the company, with high demand," the spokeswoman said. You do everything to remain able to deliver. As in most previous summers, this also included extra shifts at the weekend. Consumers are asked to return the empties as soon as possible.

With a large number of regional brands, the Hassia Group is one of the largest bottlers in Germany for mineral water and other non-alcoholic beverages. Last year, the group sold around 960 million liters and achieved sales of 314 million euros with around 1,700 employees.
