Hesse: Hesse expresses solidarity with Poland after a rocket hit

Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - After a rocket hit the Polish border area with Ukraine, Hesse expressed its solidarity with Poland. Her sympathy goes to the families and friends of the two dead, said Prime Minister Boris Rhein and Minister for Europe Lucia Puttrich (both CDU) on Wednesday in Wiesbaden. It is now important to react to this incident with prudence and foresight and to clarify it with the greatest care. Hesse has been closely linked to Poland for more than 20 years via the Wielkopolska partner region.

As early as March of this year, Hesse offered its support for the treatment of war wounded and sick children from the Ukraine who were being treated in hospitals in the partner region. "We will continue to support our Polish friends without any ifs or buts when help is needed," affirmed Rhein and Puttrich.
