The state association announced this on Wednesday in Wiesbaden. He unanimously proposed Naas - he was a successful state and local politician and a convincing advocate of liberal politics.
In all likelihood, Prime Minister and party leader Boris Rhein will lead the list of candidates for the state elections for the Hessian CDU. Economy Minister Tarek Al-Wazir (Greens) has already declared his willingness to run for the post of Prime Minister. On the other hand, it is still unclear whether the SPD state chairwoman, Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser, wants to become the top candidate for the state elections.
