Hesse: Hessian state parliament elects new prime minister

Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - The members of the Hessian state parliament have started to elect a new prime minister. To this end, the parliamentarians were called individually to the ballot box on Tuesday. CDU parliamentary group leader Ines Claus had previously proposed the previous state parliament president Boris Rhein as the successor to Volker Bouffier (both CDU) in the office of head of government.
