Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - The number of income millionaires in Hesse has increased. 2153 taxpayers were counted in 2018, 2.3 percent more than in the previous year, as reported by the State Statistical Office in Wiesbaden on Tuesday. Together, Hessen's millionaires had taxable income of around 5.1 billion euros (up 3.3 percent).
The highest concentration of millionaires was in the Hochtaunus district. In absolute terms, according to the statisticians in 2018, most Hessian millionaires lived in Frankfurt. The majority of the income millionaires earned their income from renting and leasing (1622 cases), dependent work (1607 cases) and commercial enterprises (1443 cases).
