Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - For students in Hesse, the last day of school before the summer holidays is on the timetable today. The children and young people can look forward to six free weeks - if they are not studying in one of the voluntary learning camps. There are also special German courses for elementary school students and swimming courses during the long holidays.
To protect against infection with the coronavirus, all children and young people receive five tests to take away from the schools before the holidays so that they can voluntarily test themselves at home in the last days of the holidays and on the morning of the first day of school.
At the start of the new school year at the beginning of September there will also be two prevention weeks in the schools. During this time, all students are offered three self-tests per week for voluntary testing at home.
