Hesse: Hollerbach shoots Wehen Wiesbaden with a hat-trick to victory

Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - Third division soccer team SV Wehen Wiesbaden has overcome its mini sporting crisis and is back on the road to success. The Hessians won against FC Ingolstadt 4-1 (2-1) on Saturday and consolidated third place, which currently entitles them to direct promotion. SC Freiburg II, second in the table, is not allowed to move up.

Match winner was Benedict Hollerbach with three goals in the 13th, 20th and 47th minute. Kianz Froese (84th) made the final score with a penalty kick. Pascal Testroet (24th) had scored for the guests to connect in the meantime.

Wehen Wiesbaden was the more active team from the start. With his first goal, Hollerbach used a mistake by the Ingolstadt goalkeeper, who hit the ball. Just a few minutes later he followed up with a nice one-on-one action. SVWW goalkeeper Arthur Lyska dropped the ball on one of the visitors' few offensive moves, which punished Testroet.

In the second period, Hollerbach shocked Upper Bavaria early on and set the course for victory. The Hessians remained game-determining and did not let Ingolstadt get a chance. Froese rewarded the strong performance with the fourth goal.
