Hesse: knife attack: suspect before admission to psychiatry

Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - After a life-threatening knife attack in the neck of his opponent, a man is about to be placed in a psychiatric hospital. The Frankfurt Regional Court is expected to decide on this Tuesday (12 p.m.). The act happened in the middle of last year at a kiosk in Frankfurt-Rödelheim, where the 43-year-old got into an argument with his later victim. After a punch, he suddenly pulled out the knife and stabbed. According to a psychiatric expert, he was not guilty at the time of the crime because of a schizophrenic psychosis. The public prosecutor's office has therefore already applied for the accommodation of the accused.
