Hesse: Kurdish protest action in the Frankfurt Green party headquarters

Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - Kurdish activists protested against Turkish military attacks on Kurds in Syria and Iraq on Wednesday in the party headquarters of the Frankfurt Greens district association. Green Party leader Omid Nouripour also has his constituency office in the same building. The "Initiative: Defend Kurdistan" declared that it would keep the office manned until talks were held with Nouripour and made further demands on the Greens. "The silence of the Greens expresses their support for the current attacks on Kurdistan," says a letter from the initiative. According to the police, the protest was initially peaceful. About ten activists were found in the Green Center.
