Hesse: Manga farewell to Eintracht Frankfurt is imminent

Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - Bundesliga soccer club Eintracht Frankfurt will have to do without the work of its long-time squad planner Ben Manga in the future. According to information from the "Frankfurter Rundschau", the 48-year-old's contract, which is valid until the summer of 2026, is to be terminated at the end of the month at his request. Manga will therefore take over the post of sports director at the English second division club Watford.

Rumors about a farewell to Manga, who has been working for Hessen since 2016, have been around for a long time. Some scouts will probably go to England with him. Manga was promoted to director professional football a year and a half ago after the departure of sports director Fredi Bobic, coach Adi Hütter and manager Bruno Hübner.

The talent scout was responsible for important transfers at Eintracht. Under his direction, players like Tuta, Evan Ndicka, Ante Rebic, Luka Jovic, Sebastien Haller and most recently Randal Kolo Muani and Eric Dina Ebimbe came to Eintracht.
