Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - In 2022, more than 5,200 young people took part in the two raffle rounds for 777 Interrail tickets each organized by the Hessian state government. According to the European Ministry, young people and young adults between the ages of 18 and 23 could take part in the campaign.
With the campaign under the motto "Experience your Europe", the state government wants to encourage people to get to know Europe and the European community better. With the Interrail pass, you can travel by train across Europe on seven travel days within one month.
The Ministry of the German Press Agency in Wiesbaden announced that there would also be a draw for the "HessenRail tickets" in 2023. Up to 500,000 euros were earmarked for Interrail tickets in the 2022 financial year. For the year 2023, the Hessian state government is planning a sum of the same amount.
