Berlin (dpa/lhe) - After a two-year break due to corona, the state government is again inviting people to the traditional Hesse festival in the state representation in Berlin on Wednesday evening. Prime Minister Boris Rhein and the Minister for Federal Affairs, Lucia Puttrich, (both CDU) are expecting around 2000 guests, including numerous celebrities from state and federal politics, as a spokesman said.
In addition to the Federal Minister of the Interior and Hessian SPD Chairwoman Nancy Faeser, the Federal Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht (SPD), the Ambassador of Ukraine, Andrij Melnyk, and the CDU parliamentary group leader Friedrich Merz have announced their attendance.
In addition, numerous representatives from politics, business, science and culture are on the guest list. Among other things, Hessian hot dogs or green sauce are served with the meal. And right at the entrance to the festival, the guests can admire the Europa League trophy of the Eintracht Frankfurt footballers.
