Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - After a two-year Corona break, the Museumuferfest is finally back in Frankfurt - from this Friday the time has come. In order to bring visitors to the culture festival on the Main, the transport companies have increased their range of buses and trains. On Friday and Saturday nights, the subways run with more cars and are more frequent in the evenings, as the traffic company traffiQ announced on Tuesday. The same applies to several tram lines and the M36 metro bus line. Longer trains will be on the S-Bahn lines S1 to S4 as well as S8 and S9 on Friday and Saturday night until around 2 a.m. and Sunday night until around 1 a.m., according to the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV).
The festival can be reached with seven S-Bahn, eight U-Bahn and seven tram lines as well as many bus lines. The stations Schweizer Platz, Schweizer-/Gartenstrasse, Otto-Hahn-Platz, Stresemannallee/Gartenstrasse, Willy-Brandt-Platz, Dom/Römer, Hauptwache or Konstablerwache are close by.
The Museumsuferfest lasts until Sunday, and more than a million people are expected. More than 400 individual events ranging from music to dance, workshops, guided tours and exhibitions are planned.
