Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - The exhibition "Renoir. Rococo Revival" has so far attracted more than 100,000 visitors to the Städel Museum in Frankfurt. "Our visitors are fascinated by the master of impressionism and his passion for rococo," said Städel director Philipp Demandt on Thursday.
The special exhibition, which opened on March 2nd, focuses primarily on the references between Pierre-Auguste Renoir's art and Rococo painting. Around 120 paintings, works on paper, sculptures and handicrafts can be seen until June 19th.
