Egelsbach (dpa/lhe) - In the fire in an apartment building in Egelsbach (Offenbach district), a resident was slightly injured by smoke gases. The fire broke out in the basement of the building on Friday, the police in Offenbach announced on Saturday. The injured man was taken to the hospital for treatment. The lower floors of the building are no longer habitable, it said. According to police estimates, the damage was around 100,000 euros. The cause of the fire was initially unclear and is to be determined by the criminal police.
