Pfungstadt (dpa / lhe) - The Hessentag couple in Pfungstadt is complete again. The southern Hessian city announced on Friday that a new partner had been found for Simon Schmitz in the 33-year-old special school teacher Natalie Reining. The two are now to present the state festival next year. The first joint appearance of the two is planned for September 9th at the street fair parade. Natalie Reining was selected from numerous applicants.
The "Hesse Day Lady" initially selected had resigned from her position in mid-August for personal reasons. Pfungstadt wants to host the state festival from June 2nd to 11th, 2023 under the motto "Pfungstadt attracts!" to celebrate. The municipality already organized the Hessentag in 1973 and wants to host it again 50 years later.
