The OLG announced on Monday in Frankfurt that the owner of the restaurant must refrain from using the name "Falcone" for operating her restaurant in the context of the mafia. The daughter of the former investigating judge had complained. According to the court, Falcone and Paolo Borsellino fought organized crime in the 1980s and 1990s. Both were killed in mafia attacks in 1992. The daughter opposed the use of the name in the mafia context and invoked the right to a name and postmortem personal rights. The Frankfurt Regional Court had rejected this in the first instance. The decision of the Higher Regional Court is not yet final.
