Hesse: Police find components for spying on customer data

Breuna (dpa/lhe) - During a traffic check on Autobahn 44 near Breuna, the police found components in a car for spying on customer data at ATMs. The two 37 and 42-year-old inmates were taken into custody, the police in Kassel said on Monday. It is now also being checked whether there is a connection between those arrested and the "skimming" cases in Baunatal in the summer. There, the ATM had been manipulated and a total of around 30,000 euros had been withdrawn from accounts. During the traffic control last Tuesday, among other things, plastic covers for ATMs with printed circuit boards were found in the car.
