Darmstadt (dpa / lhe) - During a check on Autobahn 5, the police discovered 115 sticks of allegedly stolen cigarettes in a car. The three occupants of the vehicle were arrested, the police said in Darmstadt on Wednesday. The men are suspected of having committed gang-related thefts.
The 37-year-old driver of the car did not have a driver's license, and his 29-year-old passenger is said to be in Germany illegally. During their inspection near Darmstadt on Tuesday, the officers also found tools in the car, such as those used for burglaries.
