Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - The Frankfurt police rate their concept for increased presence and more controls in the station district as successful. According to a spokesman, thanks to the measures that have been in place since mid-September, successes have been achieved in connection with drug trafficking in particular. This led to more than 150 arrests.
"The arrests in the course of the increased presence measures and the amount of narcotics confiscated show that the intensive police measures are having an effect and that we are on the right track," said police director Christoph Bosecker, head of the regional operation and investigation unit of the central police department. This also contributes to improving the conditions in public space and to a better feeling of security among the citizens.
