Hesse: process: attacked a passenger in a regional train with a knife

Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - From Monday (9.30 a.m.) a 35-year-old man will be in front of the Frankfurt Regional Court for attempted murder and dangerous bodily harm. According to the indictment, the crime happened in October 2021 on a regional train towards Heidelberg. Shortly after boarding the train in Frankfurt, the accused allegedly stabbed the previously completely unknown passenger (26) from behind in the neck and arm, injuring him severely. The public prosecutor's office assumes the murder characteristic of insidiousness. The process, which is initially scheduled to run until the end of September, also deals with a possible placement of the man in a psychiatric facility.
