The death has no influence on the investigation, it said. At the beginning of June, the public prosecutor's office brought charges against the former senior public prosecutor. He is accused of 101 cases of continued and commercial corruption, 55 cases of serious breach of trust and nine cases of tax evasion. The man is said to have received hundreds of thousands of euros for issuing expert opinions.
