Hesse: Rain, wind and isolated thunderstorms expected in Hesse

Offenbach (dpa/lhe) - People in Hesse can expect uncomfortable autumn weather with thunderstorms, wind and rain in the next few days. Dense cloud fields can be expected from the south-west of the country on Thursday morning, as reported by the German Weather Service (DWD). To the north-east it will initially be clear to cloudy, then light rain will set in by noon, which will probably also reach the greater Kassel area in the afternoon. The maximum temperatures on Thursday are between 13 and 17 degrees and 12 degrees in the higher mountains, where stronger gusts are also possible until noon.

According to the DWD, showery rain and isolated thunderstorms are to be expected at times on the mostly cloudy night on Friday. During the day then with lots of clouds and in places shower-like increased rain. Here, too, isolated short thunderstorms are possible before it loosens up a bit in the afternoon and also becomes drier. Saturday night will be cloudy to heavily overcast - but it will hardly rain then. During the day it loosens up. It will remain mostly dry.
