Frankfurt (dpa/lhe) - Criminal proceedings have been initiated against two men who offered aggressive resistance during a police operation in Frankfurt and injured two officers. The two police officers were called on Sunday night to expel a 26-year-old from a hotel in the Gutleutviertel. "However, he fought back and bit an officer's finger," the police said on Monday.
A 25-year-old intervened in the arrest of the man. He hit an officer in the face and grabbed the other by the neck to pull him away from the 26-year-old. According to the information, a witness came to the police's aid, so that the two were arrested. Criminal proceedings were initiated against the men, including for resisting law enforcement officers and assault. The injured police officers could no longer continue their duty and were treated in a hospital.
