Hesse: Rhine honors deceased Queen Elizabeth II.

Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - Hesse's Prime Minister Boris Rhein reacted with concern to the death of the Queen. "With Queen Elizabeth II, an impressive personality has left us, a piece of Great Britain and a sympathizer of Hesse," said Rhein, according to a statement from the Hessian state government on Thursday evening in Wiesbaden. Like no other monarch, she not only shaped British history, but also world history. "We in Hesse are deeply saddened by the death of Queen Elizabeth II and bow to the lifetime achievements of this extraordinary woman. Through her work, she left traces that will be visible for a long time to come." The Prime Minister offered his condolences to the royal family.
