Hesse: Several cattle died in a barn fire: a man was injured

Dipperz (dpa / lhe) - A 74-year-old man was injured in the barn fire in Dipperz in East Hesse and a "mid double-digit number" of cattle were killed. The cause of the fire on Monday afternoon in the Fulda district is still unclear, the police said on Tuesday. The fire brigade was able to extinguish the fire on the premises of an agricultural property with the help of several local farmers. According to the officials, the flames were prevented from spreading to a residential building. A 74-year-old resident of the farm had to be taken to a clinic with severe burn injuries. The animals that survived the fire were distributed to surrounding farms on Monday evening.
