Hattersheim (dpa/lhe) - In Hattersheim (Main-Taunus district), two men with a blank gun triggered a major police operation on Monday. Witnesses had initially reported to the police about gunfire in a wooded area, officials announced on Tuesday morning. Later, another witness observed two men on a scooter, one of whom fired a gun in the air. After extensive investigations, both men were arrested in Hattersheim-Okriftel after about an hour. The firearm used was also seized. In addition to violating the weapons law, there is also the suspicion that both men have committed traffic offenses.
