Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - Hesse's Prime Minister Boris Rhein (CDU) wants to present the details of a state aid program for citizens, companies and associations on Monday (10 a.m.) in Wiesbaden. The program is intended to mitigate the consequences of the energy crisis caused by the Ukraine war and to supplement federal relief packages. The government factions of the CDU and Greens had already announced the first cornerstones together with the opposition factions of the SPD and FDP in the state parliament under the motto "Hessen stands together".
A hardship fund to protect against energy cuts should therefore include up to 30 million euros. In the same volume, loan assistance for smaller companies is planned together with the WI-Bank. According to the information provided, the planned aid program also includes a further 30 million euros to support clubs, associations, initiatives and projects in the areas of sport, culture, education, social affairs and the environment, which are facing major challenges due to rising energy prices.
In addition, according to the plans of the four parliamentary groups, there should be a moratorium on termination for tenants of public housing associations.
