Hesse: the bus rolls downhill: six passengers are injured

Bad Vilbel (dpa / lhe) - Six passengers were injured when a bus became self-employed. According to the police, the bus rolled backwards against a tree in Bad Vilbel (Wetteraukreis) on Thursday afternoon. Eight passengers fell, six of them were injured, and three were taken to a hospital as a precaution for further examination.

According to previous knowledge, the 57-year-old bus driver had previously stopped at a bus stop. There he found that the doors apparently could no longer be closed hydraulically. "When attempting to eliminate the disruption mentioned manually, the bus rolled about 25 meters downhill before finally coming to an abrupt stop," the officials reported. The uprooted tree fell against a residential building and had to be felled by the fire department. The bus had to be towed.
