Wehrheim (dpa/lhe) - Two people were injured in an unsuccessful overtaking maneuver on a district road in the Taunus. As the police announced on Sunday, a 30-year-old crashed his car head-on into an oncoming car when he tried to pass another car on a straight stretch near Wehrheim despite the ban on overtaking. According to the investigation, the man overlooked a car in the opposite lane. Its 40-year-old driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Her 14-year-old son survived the collision on Saturday evening unharmed. The suspected driver suffered minor injuries, police said. Officials estimated the damage to property at around 40,000 euros.
