Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - After a serious traffic accident with one fatality in Frankfurt-Schwanheim, a 27-year-old has to answer for the third time before the Frankfurt Regional Court. In April 2015, the man ran several red lights on the Uferstraße at a speed of 140 km/h and rammed another vehicle on a feeder road, the driver of which died at the scene of the accident.
In two previous trials, the speeder was sentenced to three and five years in prison, most recently for manslaughter. However, the Federal Court of Justice overturned both judgments. The third trial will now only be about the sentence. The criminal court therefore wants to complete the proceedings on one day of the hearing.
