Hesse: Trial of attempted manslaughter in a brothel begins

Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - A 28-year-old has to answer for attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm in a trial before the Frankfurt Regional Court from this Wednesday (from 9.15 a.m.). According to the indictment, the man stormed into a brothel in Frankfurt's Bahnhofsviertel in July last year, where he attacked the innkeeper with a kitchen knife. After the victim was able to get to safety and notify the police, the perpetrator and the officers gave chase - only after five police shots could he be overpowered and arrested. The jury has initially scheduled five days of hearings until mid-October.
