Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - Two accidents on Autobahn 3 near Wiesbaden caused significant disabilities on Wednesday. Traffic was backed up for up to 20 kilometers, the police said. A man was slightly injured. First, two cars collided in the morning - one caught fire. However, the occupants were able to escape unharmed. The freeway was initially closed in both directions.
When the traffic jam had cleared, three articulated lorries collided near the first scene of the accident at noon, one driver was slightly injured. Another long traffic jam formed. The total damage is estimated at at least 150,000 euros.
