Großalmerode (dpa/lhe) - Two houses were destroyed in a fire in Großalmerode in the Werra-Meißner district on Thursday evening. The police said the damage was in the mid-six-figure range. Nobody got hurt. The residents were able to get to safety in time. The two adjoining houses were destroyed by the fire.
The fire probably started in the garage of another residential building, which was right next to the two single-family homes. The garage and two cars parked there were completely destroyed by the fire. The fire then spread to the two family homes.
