Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - Unknown people have been breaking into parked taxis in Frankfurt since the beginning of the month. According to their own statements on Thursday, the police are now investigating more than 50 cases. The burglaries are increasing, especially in the western districts of Gallus, Nied and Unterliederbach.
The burglars almost always break the side windows of the cars at night and then steal valuables from the interior. The investigators did not initially provide precise information on the extent of the damage. "By breaking into the vehicles alone, a lot of damage has already been done," they said.
