Hesse: Unknown steal excavator shovels: Expensive damage

Homberg/Jesberg (dpa/lhe) - Unknown persons stole excavator shovels worth around 33,000 euros from a construction site in northern Hesse. The theft on Landstraße 3145 near Jesberg (Schwalm-Eder-Kreis) probably happened last weekend, the police in Homberg said on Tuesday. According to the investigation, the perpetrators are said to have started an excavator parked there and used it to lift the two shovels onto another vehicle or trailer. So far there is no trace of the perpetrators.
