Hesse: Wehlend condemns the behavior of Dynamo fans

Dresden (dpa/lhe) - Managing Director Jürgen Wehlend reacted with horror to the incidents after Dynamo Dresden's relegation game against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. "With all understanding for this frustration, which everyone involved in the club shares and feels the same way, the behavior of some Dynamo fans towards the end of the game and especially afterwards is completely unacceptable," said Wehlend on Wednesday.

"A clear limit was crossed with the violent entry into the cabin wing, in which two stewards were injured, and the threat to players, coaches and employees," emphasized Wehlend. Dresden was relegated to the 3rd football league after a 2-0 loss against the Palatinate.

After the guests' second goal, the game was about to be abandoned because Dresden fans had thrown pyrotechnics onto the pitch. Shortly before midnight, about 30 supporters finally tried to get into the cabin wing through the entrance to the VIP room. Two folders were injured. The police are investigating a breach of the peace. After stones were thrown at a bus, investigations into property damage were also initiated.
