Hesse: Woman died after a police operation: the cause is still unclear

Frankfurt/Usingen (dpa/lhe) - A good week after the death of a woman after a police operation in the Taunus, it is still unclear why the 39-year-old died. The autopsy "revealed no tangible cause of death," said the public prosecutor's office in Frankfurt on Friday. The investigating authority therefore has no evidence that the woman died as a result of external violence. However, cocaine was found in the woman's urine.

The 39-year-old is said to have rioted in her apartment in Usingen on Thursday last week. When the police tied her up, her health was said to have deteriorated to such an extent that the officers called an ambulance. Rescue workers resuscitated the woman, she died shortly afterwards in a hospital.
