Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - Of the 270 planned counting points for bicycle traffic in Hesse, 146 are now in use. From March 2022 to this Wednesday (June 8), a total of 3,206,883 bicycles were counted on them, according to a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Transport in Wiesbaden. This results in a daily average of 441 bicycles per counting point. Since the official start on March 4th, most bicycles have been measured at one counting point on the Main in Offenbach (228,082), one in Egelsbach in the Offenbach district (95,943) and one in Darmstadt (89,884). At the end of the one-year installation phase in 2022, a total of 270 automatic counting points will systematically record cycle traffic in Hesse.
