Hessen: 250 bales of hay on fire

Brensbach (dpa / lhe) - In a field near Brensbach in the Odenwald district, around 250 hay bales caught fire early Monday morning. Because of the smoke, windows and doors should remain closed as a precaution, the police said. The fire brigade pulled apart the bales that were stored in the field near the Nieder-Kainsbach district and let them burn in a controlled manner. According to the current state of investigation, the police assume arson and estimate the damage to property at around 7,500 euros.
