Hessen: Elderly women attacked in the cemetery: man arrested

Kassel (dpa/lhe) - Around four weeks after attacks on older women in Kassel's main cemetery, the police arrested a suspect. The 29-year-old was taken into custody, the public prosecutor and the police announced on Monday. Both women were slightly injured in the raids, and he is said to have sexually assaulted one of them. According to the current investigations, he initially snatched the handbag from an 84-year-old on July 9th. Almost two hours later he is said to have dragged a 73-year-old into the bushes, passed her and stolen her wallet. The man was arrested in Kassel last Thursday.
