Pfungstadt (dpa/lhe) - The band Silbermond and the comedian Bülent Ceylan will be on stage at the Hessentag in Pfungstadt next year. Further acts are to be announced in the coming weeks and months, as the organizers announced on Monday.
After the state festival had to be canceled three years in a row due to corona, it is scheduled to take place again in 2023, from June 2nd to 11th. Silbermond's concert is scheduled for June 9th, Bülent Ceylan's performance for June 5th.
The Hessentag has existed since 1961. The motto for the coming year is "Pfungstadt is attracting!". The southern Hessian municipality already organized the festival in 1973 and wants to celebrate again in the city 50 years later. According to the municipality, there should be around 1000 larger and smaller events. The last Hessentag was held in Bad Hersfeld in 2019 with hundreds of thousands of visitors.
