Hessen: More than 100 investigations against climate activists

Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - Activists of the "last generation" have recently protested against climate change and environmental destruction with controversial road blockades, adhesive tapes and art attacks. Numerous protests also had legal consequences: in Frankfurt and the surrounding area alone, there were 105 investigations by the police state security against activists by mid-November, said a spokeswoman for the Frankfurt public prosecutor's office. The state security department at the public prosecutor's office has also been dealing with the cases that have arisen since April. The "Bild" newspaper reported about it first.
