Fulda (dpa/lhe) - Wintry weather conditions have led to traffic delays in the East Hessian Rhön. Because of heavily snowed and icy roads, some cars and trucks had broken down, got stuck on inclines and blocked the road, the police said on Thursday. In the morning, two trees fell on a car near the junction with a country road near Obernhausen (Fulda district). The driver was not injured. Two federal roads had to be completely closed. Police and firefighters were deployed. The full closure should last into the evening. The police asked road users to avoid the Rhön area if possible.
