On Thursday, June 16, at 1 p.m., the Jausiers High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (4PGHM 04), intervened aboard the helicopter from the Digne-les-Bains Gendarmerie Air Section in La Motte-en-Champsaur. (Hautes-Alpes). After falling in an area more than 2800m above sea level, a 65-year old hiker was treated with shoulder trauma.

The victim was flown to Gap Hospital. The operation was carried out by two PGHM rescuers and one ANMSM doctor (National Association of Mountain Physicians and Rescuers).
