Saturday, July 9, 2022 will be the Muslim community's religious holiday Eid al Adha (or Eid el Kebir). A ritual sacrifice of sheep is performed on this occasion, which is considered the most important in the Muslim calendar. The Hautes-Alpes prefecture reminds you that it is against the law to transport, detain and slaughter sheep belonging to non-approved breeders. Violators can be punished with fines or criminal prosecution.
